WATER CONSERVATION TIP

Aerate your lawn

Do you see water runoff from your yard each time you water? This could mean that the lawn needs aeration. When you aerate your lawn, you give the water somewhere to go besides down the storm drain.

Set sprinkler timers to water between 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. for no more than 10 minutes per station. Click here to learn more ways to save.

WEEKLY WATER INDEX: 82

The Watering Index is a simple method of matching irrigation timers to plants water demand. Each day, a Santa Clarita Valley weather station measures the water demand of plants based on actual conditions and the index helps residents achieve optimal watering levels.

Go here to learn about setting up your watering index.
