Advanced Placement Environmental Science (A.P.E.S.)

The Castaic Lake Water Agency Education Department offers an Advanced Placement Environmental Science workshop that is free to schools in the Santa Clarita Valley. The workshop includes 3 labs, lecture, and video that are aligned with the AP College Board Curriculum.

Labs in soil types, structure, and water permeability give students further understanding of our earth’s natural resources. Laws pertaining to and the treatment of water are discussed in depth. Labs and lecture are both outdoors and indoors giving student’s enrichment not available at their school.

These workshops are primarily held in August and notification of a school’s participation must be indicated to the Agency by April of the prior school year. For scheduling information, please contact Casey Gordon at cgordon@clwa.org
