Water Challenge Program Outline

Students will form teams of 1-4 participants. They may choose, but are not limited to, one of the following subject areas and identify an issue within these topics:
  • Water Pollution
  • Water Conservation
  • Critical Water Habitats (Santa Clara River)
  • Water Quality
Students will submit a description of their project with their application by October 12, 2010.

Once the application is received, students will be contacted to attend a mandatory Orientation Meeting taking place on October 21, 2010.
Project ideas:
  • Music Video
  • TV Commercial
  • Coloring Book or Coloring Page
  • Conservation
  • Video Game
  • Landscaping
  • Harvesting / Recycling Water

Attention: Education Department

Culmination of the Water Challenge will be held with an awards reception for the
teams, their families, and advisor. The General Manager, Board Members of
CLWA, Water Resources Manager, and the Education Department will also
attend. The top winning teams will be announced and will present their projects
at the awards reception, March 3, 2011 at 6:30 PM.
