Professional and Community Activities:
Jerry Gladbach has been very active in the Association of California Water Agencies, where he is currently a member of its Board of Directors and Vice Chair of its Local Governmental Committee. In the past, he has served as its President, Vice President, Chair of its Region 8 and Chair of its Energy Committee. Mr. Gladbach is a member of the ACWA’s Joint Powers Insurance Authority Executive Committee, its Board of Directors, Chair of its Building and Property Ad Hoc Committee and Chair of its Liability Subcommittee. Mr. Glacbach also serves as Chairman of the Local Agency Formation Commission for Los Angeles County and Treasurer of the California Association of Local Agency Formation Commissions.
Mr. Gladbach retired from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power after 35 years having various assignments regarding design, construction, research, governmental relations and environmental and safety compliance.
Mr. Gladbach and his wife Donna reside in Valencia. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Jerry has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1968. He received his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and he is a registered Civil Engineer in California and a Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
