CLWA Hosts Annual Open House May 11 From 9AM to 2PM!

On Saturday, May 11, 2013 the Castaic Lake Water Agency (CLWA) will hold its annual Open House in Central Park and the CLWA Conservatory Garden from 9AM to 2PM.  To celebrate Open House and California Water Awareness Month, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including:

  • Seeing some animals from Placerita Nature Center
  • Free trees from the L.A. County Fire Urban Forestry Unit
  • Gardening and Coloring Activities for the Kids
  • Free water saving devices from local retailers

… and many more!

The Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center is returning to Central Park!  The 1,000 square foot trailer is fully interactive, with one of a kind experience that encourages visitors to engage, play, experiment and learn about conserving water.

Stop by our smart irrigation controller booth to get more information and take CLWA’s online course (www.scvh2oprograms.com) to receive a free controller.  (Be sure to bring your water bill with you; you will need to know your account number.)

A shuttle service will be provided to take visitors from Central Park up to tour the Conservation Garden.  CLWA staff will show visitors a working model of CLWA’s treatment plant along with other fun activities.

During Open House, there are other water-related events scheduled, which include:
