Free Commercial and Industrial Water Audit Program

Call (661) 297-1600 to sign up today!

CLWA is committed to helping commercial and industrial customers conserve throughout the year. Our new water use audit program is a free service to all commercial and industrial customers and will evaluate indoor and outdoor water use to determine where you can save water and money. Here’s how:

Step 1: On-site water use survey
A water conservation expert will visit your business to test equipment, review water use patterns, and share water use efficiency information.

Step 2: Water use analysis
Following the survey, you will receive a report identifying key water efficiency opportunities, recommended courses of action, estimated water savings, and cost benefit analysis including the following elements:

High efficiency toilets and urinals should replace all toilets over 1.3 gallons per flush and urinals over one pint per flush.
Water brooms are a water saving alternative to using a hose when required to wash pavement.
Sub-meters Measure outdoor water use and allow retailers to track the amount of water used for landscaping for businesses without a dedicated irrigation account.
Conductivity controllerstransmit information to valves that control the amount of water drained from cooling tower reservoirs.
Note: Commercial and coin operated clothes washers will receive special consideration. As some commercial washers feature adjustable water content, the savings will be based on the difference between the current machines and services to the maximum accepted potential of the proposed machines

Step 3: Implement water audit findings
CLWA will develop a customized incentive for the items above and offer rebates for the items identified as necessary to further water conservation. When your business moves forward with the recommended water conservation measures, you will be required to submit an application to your water retailer outlining the work to be performed. Once water saving devices are installed, submit a verification of installation and operation to receive a rebate check or credit to your water bill.
